    SLOW ROTATION SURFACE AERATOR AEROSTAR type AS
FUCHS METHOD

 

1. PRESENTATION

Surface aerator with vertical axe are installed in lagoons or activated sludge basins, to realise an oxygen transfer, a mixing and a circulation of the substrate which need to be treated. These equipments are robust, can support to be used in charged wastewater and are maintenance-free.

2. DESCRIPTION

The slow rotation surface aerator FUCHS AEROSTAR consists in an air-cooled, vertically mounted motor, a shaft, a rotor and a mounting plate.
At the submersible end of the rotor, there is a spiral-shaped propeller. The whole can be protected in housing, on request.

3. PRINCIPLE

The shaft aspires the substrate from the basin bottom and then projects it on the water surface. The oxygen transfer happens essentially in turbulence zones near from the rotor.

4. INSTALLATION

In activated sludge basins, the slow rotation surface aerator FUCHS AEROSTAR will be installed in the middle of the basin, on a bridge.
By deep basins, it could be necessary to complete with a additional tube, fixed below the aerator.
By variable water level basins or by aerated lagoons, the aerator AEROSTAR can be installed on floating devices.
